KIDS MINISTRY
KINGDOM KIDS TEACHERS
Our volunteer teaching staff is faithfully committed to guiding children in discovering who God is and leading them to develop deeper understandings of His Word. All teachers are Safe Place trained and have approved background checks. Teachers follow a rotation of teaching for one month every four months (a total of 3 months out of the year), in one of the following classes: preschool-Kindergarten, 1st-2nd grade, or 3rd-5th grade. A teacher's responsibility is to familiarize themselves with the lesson they will be teaching, to arrive at church on time during their scheduled teaching months, and to attend teacher trainings that are held a couple of times a year. KINGDOM TOTS TEACHER
Our volunteer caretakers introduce the youngest of our church family to God and begin to teach them who He is. This class is comprised of children 18 months to 3 years of age. All caretakers are Safe Place trained and have approved background checks. A Kingdom Tots caretaker's responsibility is to deliver a mini lesson to the children, feed them a snack that is provided, guide them in a craft or activity that is an extension of the lesson (this will be prepared by the Children's Director), and supervise their play time. Caretakers are scheduled to serve one Sunday every two months. If you would like to get involved with this ministry contact Children@bgalliance.org
AWANA LEADERS
Adult leaders must be 18 years old or older, be approved through our Safe Place Guidelines (Board approval, background checks, and training completed regularly), and be committed to being present 95% of the time. We understand that emergencies will come up occasionally, but consistency is key in discipling students. Responsibilities are primarily guiding students in comprehension and memorization of scripture through the workbooks provided to each student.
Student leaders must be in grade 7 or higher, have a completed Student Leader Application, be approved by the Awana Director, and be committed to being present 95% of the time. Responsibilities are to help the adult leaders in their groups with any tasks they are asked to complete.
