Sam and his wife, Kay, both are natives of Pennsylvania and their three sons, Sam, Rob and Tom spent most of their school years in Central Pennsylvania. After a downsizing in late 2002, Sam found himself in a job search at age 50. The new job was in northwestern Ohio, bringing them to live in Bowling Green in 2003. After trying a number of churches in the Bowling Green area, they came to Bowling Green Alliance Church in November 2003. The relationships that developed were the ties that bound them to BGAC. Sam made an immediate connection to the “Iron Men” men’s group that meets every Friday morning for breakfast, study and discussion. Kay became very close to the women that have served with her as deaconesses.

Dave is a local businessman, who has been blessed to have been part owner of a local insurance agency that has served area clients for many years. Dave holds two professional designations, CPCU and CIC, and an MBA. He is currently an employee of First Insurance Group, BG. Dave’s second love and avocation is aviation. As a private pilot, he enjoys flying small power aircraft and gliders, and he is a member of the Adrian, Michigan, Soaring Club.
Dave and his family have attended the Bowling Green Alliance Church since 1994, when they were looking for a church that offered solid youth ministries for their children. “We were looking for a biblically sound church that lifted up the name of Jesus. We praise God that we found a loving church family that provided just the right environment for our spiritual growth and provided opportunities to build into the lives of others, both believers and non-believers.”
In addition to being a church elder, Dave currently serves in the IronMen ministry and Awana youth ministry. Dave has also been a member of the Gideons International for over 30 years.

Originally from Western New York, Greg and Wendy have moved 10 times, so they have experienced a broad diversity of church cultures and styles. When searching for a church in Bowling Green they were looking for a church with solid Biblical preaching, worship that included the great hymns of the faith, a diversity of ages from young families to elders, and a compassionate loving congregation. The Bowling Green Alliance Church exemplifies those characteristics well. Greg and Wendy accepted Jesus gift of salvation at a young age and desire to serve God as He opens doors for them to do so. With that in mind they have served in many church capacities, and have also been actively involved in other ministries such as Young Life.
God has blessed Greg and Wendy with three very special Christian children that are married to wonderful Christian spouses, and eight beautiful grand children.
If you are looking for a church you can call “home”, or if you are wanting to look into what it means to have a relationship with God, then Greg and Wendy encourage you to visit the BG Alliance Church. They know you will feel welcomed, appreciated, and loved!
